Diane Tharp is a watercolor artist residing in Auburn, California.  Diane has been painting watercolors for over 30 years and tends to paint in themes based on nature.  She often infuses humor and whimsy in her paintings, which make them twice the fun to paint.

Diane has shown in many local galleries and art shows and has sold extensively.  Her artwork has earned many awards and has been in numerous juried shows. Diane shows her work at the Auburn Old Town Gallery and the new High Hand Gallery in Loomis. She also opens her studio for shows.

“Painting a watercolor is an unfolding mystery.  You don’t know the outcome until the end.  The artist has an idea in her mind, but the fluid pigments have minds of their own.  The painting evolves and the outcome is always a surprise, be it successful or disappointing.  Painting watercolors is always a path of wonderment for me, and I never tire of the journey!"
