My background has been filled with various endeavors centered around manufacturing in all types of media. Working my way through college making and selling metal sculptures, then applying learned skills designing and fabricating all types of industrial products. I really enjoy developing the process of making interesting and sometimes useful items.

 

Wood is a comfortable and satisfying natural material to work with, I have an interest in how the American ( wild ) West developed and the hearty people that lived during this period, thus my focus. I create sculptures to help commemorate these people and circumstances.

 

My process is a blending of both old world skills and new technology.  Projects span in duration from a few days to many weeks.  Wood provides natural attributes that sometimes only get disclosed when working through the shaping process, trying to take advantage of these is satisfying.
